About this Fundraiser
I am a cancer survivor and marathon runner in search of a cure to cancer TODAY. In December 2001, I was diagnosed wtih Acute Myeloid Leukemia and began a difficult course of treatment to regain my health. After 5 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, I participated in a clinical trial and underwent a stem cell transplant that ultimately saved my life and cured my disease. Today, nearly 10 years later, I continue to dedicate my time to helping find a cure to cancer. I do this in a number of ways, including my ultimate quest to run a half marathon in every state, raising money to fund cancer research along the way. The Gateway for Cancer Research is the beneficiary of my efforts.I will be running the Route 66 Half Marathon in Tulsa, OK on Sunday, November 20, 2011. I hope you'll consider donating to my fundraising efforts! 99 cents of every dollar received goes directly to fund cancer research that will improve or extend the lives of cancer patients, or find a cure to cancer TODAY. Thank you for your generosity and support! Donations to Route 66 Half Marathon
